My proper noun is Emilie Fantuz, I am a palette knife painter and I am honored to share a piece of my story and my artwork with you lot.
Three years ago I moved to Vancouver, Canada without knowing where it would atomic number 82 me. I look dorsum on these 3 years and it almost feels similar an entirely dissimilar lifetime than the years before. It has brought me the most cute joys in life merely not without adversity. Through it all, I continued to do what I dearest. Pigment.
When I arrived in Canada, 2500 miles abroad from my home country of Michigan, my vehicle was packed with all the possessions for my new life. When y'all can only bring what yous can fit in your car, what do you have? My dear easel and my love palette knives. And so what?

The answer is like shooting fish in a barrel. Paint.
Why? A constant that has held true in my work is a common motivation, regardless of the location where I alive. I strive to observe dazzler in everyday life and highlight this through my work; the glow from streetlights, reflections after the pelting, and subtle interactions of the people passing by. Creating helps me reflect, capeesh, and even brings me force. Perhaps you volition feel this also.
I am and so blessed to share this lifelong passion with my married man, Mike Fantuz, who is as well a palette knife painter. How is this possible?
